The rules for the Easter Festival are as follows...
1. All matches will be played on a half pitch and will be conducted under the normal rules of outdoor hockey with the exceptions of penalty corners were instead a free hit will be awarded outside the circle.
2. Each team must have seven players with at least three females on the pitch at all times. Goalkeepers are optional, however in the case of a team having a goalkeeper they must have only six outfield players. The rule of three females on the pitch at all times still applies (this can include the goalkeeper).
3. In the event of a colour clash the second named team will wear bibs
4. Matches are 20 minutes one way and centrally timed. A horn will signal the start and the end of each match.
5. The first named team will take centre pass; the second named team will choose ends.
6. Each team is responsible for providing one umpire for the match from one of the teams who is not playing at that time.
7. Missed matches will be awarded as a 4-0 win to the opposition.
8. Any teams over 5 minutes late forfeits the match due to the tight schedule of the tournament.
9. Captains must report the match results to the festival desk when the match is finished.
The tournament committee reserves the right to amend, change or implement new rules at its discretion.
